Fulton Family Psychiatry, a renowned online psychiatric private practice, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nutritionist to join our team. We specialize in providing comprehensive mental health care for both adults and children through a holistic approach that emphasizes alternative and complementary treatments, promoting mental well-being without the use of controlled substances.

Position Summary

Join our team as a Nutritionist and play a vital role in the holistic well-being of our patients. In this position, you will collaborate with mental health professionals to develop nutrition plans tailored to individual mental health needs. By integrating nutrition into the treatment process, you will contribute to enhancing the overall mental health and quality of life of our clients, making a meaningful difference in their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct thorough nutritional assessments for mental health patients, considering their medical history, dietary habits, and specific mental health conditions.

  • Develop personalized nutrition plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on improving mental well-being, energy levels, and overall health.

  • Educate patients on the importance of proper nutrition and its impact on mental health, providing guidance on meal planning, dietary choices, and supplementation.

  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals within our practice to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.

  • Stay updated with the latest research and developments in nutritional psychiatry, integrating evidence-based practices into patient recommendations.

  • Monitor patients' progress, adjust nutrition plans as needed, and provide ongoing support to encourage adherence and positive outcomes.

  • Conduct regular follow-up sessions to track patients' progress, address concerns, and provide additional guidance and motivation.

  • Collaborate with our administrative team to maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited institution.

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of mental health nutrition and its impact on overall well-being.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathetically interact with patients.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt, with a passion for holistic mental health care.

  • Previous psychiatric experience is not required; we value a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to our patient-focused practice.
