Non-Stimulant Approach to Treating ADHD in Children and Adolescents
At Fulton Family Psychiatry, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care to children and adolescents facing challenges with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We understand that each young patient is unique, and their symptoms may stem from various factors. As part of our holistic approach, we do not rely on stimulant medications to treat ADHD. Instead, we believe in addressing the underlying causes of attention and hyperactivity symptoms, particularly those related to life stressors and anxiety. In this section, we explain our non-stimulant approach, which aims to empower our young patients to overcome their difficulties and thrive in their daily lives.
Empowering Children and
Adolescents through Holistic Mental Health Care
Are you looking for a comprehensive and compassionate approach to mental health care for your child or adolescent? Welcome to our Telepsychiatry Practice, where we are dedicated to providing expert guidance and support to young patients on their journey to mental well-being.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
We provide consultation and therapy sessions and medication management for those who require medicine to cure their mental illness. However, it is our next-level treatment for those who are required more than therapy and consultation sessions.

Through proper assessment and diagnosis, our mental health providers provide patients with proper e-prescriptions at the pharmacy of their choice. In the process, the patient’s medical history, symptoms, and recommended medication options are duly analyzed to give them the most effective medication. Our team works with dedication to make sure that they cater to every patient’s individual requirements.

Fulton Family Psychiatry’s medication management services ensure that the patients receive the right dosage and proper medication to improve their mental health condition, thereby improving their standard of living.
ELDERLY MENTAL HEALTH
Elderly people, like anyone else, face mental health issues that require the utmost care that our dedicated staff is committed to giving through their professionalism and ability.

Mental health problems among older adults are prevalent. According to World Health Organization, roughly 15% of adults aged 60 and over have mental health concerns. In addition, they go through many emotional distresses due to multiple medical problems & physical changes.

Our telepsychiatry services allow for mental health consultation and holistic treatment comfortably in their homes through virtual sessions.

Services to Children and Adults with Developmental Disabilities
At Fulton Family Psychiatry, we are dedicated to serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our approach is integrative, focusing on reinforcing nutrition, exercise, and a well-supported environment alongside the use of supplements, vitamins, and medication. We understand that this special population is often very sensitive to medications, and may be deficient in vitamins and minerals, which can worsen mental health symptoms. Our team is experienced in tailoring treatments to accommodate these sensitivities and deficiencies. Additionally, our telepsychiatry services are particularly beneficial for individuals with disabilities, as they may feel anxious about leaving their safe home for treatment. We are committed to providing care wherever it is most convenient for our patients, including in their homes, group homes, or day treatment programs.

LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES
Our telepsychiatry services are not at all limited to a few places. It also includes long-term care facilities at nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and residential care homes.

Older people residing at nursing homes are subject to cognitive decline and other issues related to their physical condition, ultimately affecting their mental state. As a result, they face isolation and depression as they feel deprived of their loved ones and someone from their close family to look after them.

Living in a nursing home adds to the sorrows of older people. Therefore, we provide such institutes with sessions to improve the awareness of the staff that works there to help them understand the different types of mental health-related problems that older people have to go through with.

Proper training will be provided on how to deal with the different kinds of mental health conditions that individuals face, such as anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and dementia.
Emergency Room/Urgent Care Consultations

CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES
One of our most unique services is providing mental health consultation to correction facilities, including prisons, jails, juvenile detention centers, boot camps, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centers.

Mental health problems are pretty common in those living in such spaces. Such people live in restricted environments and are prone to experience trauma, extreme stress, and depression due to living in isolation and lack of proper social care.

Therefore, we provide consultation services to such punitive and disciplinary facilities. We properly guide the staff working there to ensure the mental health condition of the prisoners confined. The staff is recommended treatment plans and are also given insights on mental health issues to build awareness among them to better manage the prisoners and their mental health conditions.
